Mommy Cried

I looked up and asked Mommy…where’s Daddy?, and Mommy cried;
Mommy tried to hide behind eyes that despise the reality that daddy casually walked out of our lives, I was five years old and couldnt hold back my tears, because Mommy’s fears for the future took hold of me, but Mommy took hold of me and help me near:
I looked up and asked Mommy…where’s Daddy?, and Mommy cried;
Mommy tried to explain about the flicker of a flame, and how it fades, and how a man can weaken if he feels beaten by a system, and how he starts insisting that everybody’s against him, and so he flees from his family, but Mommy held me near;
I looked up and asked Mommy…where’s Daddy?,and Mommy cried;
Mommy tried to walk in Daddy’s gators, but she slipped, she started to slide, her fall was eminent and since I was in it I became hell-bent on resentment for my Daddy, I saw him in his Caddy with his mistress I thought he missed us, my mind was unclear, but Mommy held me near;
I looked up and asked Mommy…where’s Daddy?,and Mommy cried;
Mommy tried to raise a boy to a man with the hand she was dealt, my pain she felt, her pain she transformed to love, Mommy always was, a woman above, the waves of affliction, always an addition, though I was raised in an equation where my Daddy was always missing, but Mommy held me near… and Mommy cried:

Pain Pain Go Away

Pain, pain go away!
Please do not come back another day.
Tears falling down my face.
Oh, how I wish for his warm embrace.
Wonder if he cares about me.
Wonder if this is supposed to be.
How can he stand there and break my heart
How did we allow us to grow so far apart?
My dreams of us being happy is not going to come true.
All I am feeling is down and blue.
Pain, pain go away
bring me back to another day
where he loved me and
we thought we were meant to be.
I will not stop loving you, that much is true,
but I will be stronger in time
and not feel so blue.
you will always be in my heart
even when we are apart.
One day I will have that warm embrace
and tears will stop flowing down my face.
Pain, pain go away
leave me alone and do not stay.

Live Your Life

Stop believing to what other people tell you
Because nobody can make the choices or decisions
For you to begin with. Have trust in your own blue
And stormy sky. Have faith in your own visions
Of what you want your life to be like because it
It your life and nobody else’s. You are made
To stumble, fall and make mistakes. Do not fit
In and be just like everybody else. You are frayed
Around the edges, but that is perfectly okay
Because life is not neat. Live your life your way.

Helping Hand

You’re going through a lot and it’s written all over your face
I genuinely care for you and nothing that I do or say is fake
The look in your eyes never lies and shows that you’re tired
They’re the windows to our soul that usually expose our desires
So if there’s anything I can do to help uplift you just holla at a dude
You put your faith in GOD to do the job but just know I’m here for you too
We all need a helping hand to help us stand and this I wholeheartedly understand
I’ve myself gone through hell that most can’t tell but it’s made me a stronger man
This isn’t about me but I just want you to see that I overstand life’s journey
The trials and tribulations that we all be facing sometimes makes it hard to breathe
So the purpose of this is to send you a virtual kiss on your forehead
When you need someone to lean on during your storm then I am here

Through It All (This Is What Makes Me Me)

Friends come and go
Life flies by right before your eyes.
You loose ones you love
Yet through it all you still love your life.

People leave you to fight alone
You put on a fake smile to hide all your pain
Yet someone still knows your hurt.

Through it all you still put on a front to satisfy those around you
Thorough it all you wouldn’t change a thing
Through it all you wouldn’t trade your life for fame.

You build a wall to try to keep from getting hurt
You lock up you heart and throw away the key to see who cares enough to look for the key
Through it all there’s not many people that got you to open up yet still you love it all.

Struggles meet you in the face to watch you slip up
Yet through it all you wouldn’t change a thing.

Through it all you wouldn’t change a thing
Through it all you wouldn’t trade your life for fame.

Thorw Away The Pain And Fears Of Yesterday

Breathe in the fresh air,
Put your mind at ease.
Let down your hair,
Let it flow in the breeze.

Let your eyes wander
To all the beauty to be seen.
If those toxic thoughts you still do ponder,
Then let out a scream.

Scream until the pain is gone,
Until you’re no longer feel afraid.
Open your eyes to a new dawn,
Let the darkness fade.

No longer compare yourself
Or your flaws to others’ perfections.
Take the negativity off the shelf,
Focus on your direction.

Pick the sadness up off the floor,
Sweep it into the wind.
Close the door on self-hatred,
Never let it back in.

For the lies it would often tell you,
You will no longer agree.
Happiness and love are what you should hold onto,
They are whom you should give the key.

Pay no attention to the toxic thoughts,
Listen to those who adore everything you are.
Overthinking was what you once were taught,
But now those thoughts you put in a jar.

Focus on your goals,
Never lose your fight.
It’s time to open new scrolls,
Everything will be alright.

Don’t Wait Until I Am Gone

Treat me with love, dignity, respect and compassion
Now as I am healthy, vibrant and alive.
Don’t wait to hear that I am sick and dying
To love me the way I was meant to be loved.
Bring me flowers and candy on any day just because.
Don’t wait for a holiday, love and cherish me every day.
Tell me I am beautiful.
See my beauty in my body and soul.
Don’t wait to see that I am disfigured
And then tell me that I am beautiful
Because you think that is what I want to hear.
Talk to me lovingly now so I can hear your beautiful voice
And listen to the ringing of your laughter.
Don’t try to talk to me that way now
That I am deaf and can no longer hear your sweet voice.
Speak words of love and compassion
So I can remember those conversations
Even though I may not be able to hear them again.
Come one day and you will be sad, you will be sorry!
Treat me like a human being with a life
That needs to be lived my way…not yours!
Remember that our Creator gave you your own life
To live the way you please.
Leave me to live mine!!
I do not tell you what you should or should not do…
I just listen and give you support.
Why can’t you do the same?
I am this way and you are that way.
That’s because we are different…
We are unique…can’t we compromise?
Bury the hatchet and move along.
Free your body, free your soul.
Let’s just take the precious time
We have now to live and to love…
Everything else will slowly fall into place.
Now I am sick and dying.
You are now trying to love me, to bring me flowers,
To stroke my hair and to speak loving words.
Why did we waste all those years, all that time…
Just to be where we are now,
Now when I am too weak, too sick to enjoy your gifts?
Love me now…
As your sister, your brother,
Your husband, your wife,
Your niece, your nephew,
Your daughter, your son…
Don’t wait until it is too late!
Don’t wait until I am gone…
